Western Ireland

Hello all!

This past weekend, me and two other friends traveled on a tour of Western Ireland. We were at first hesitant of the "tour" route (thinking we would be the youngest by 30 years), but once we got on the bus we were welcomed by 10 others that were all younger than 30 and were looking forward to a fantastic trip.

-We first started in Phoenix Park (the largest park in all of Europe)
-We then traveled to this beautiful monastery (I can not remember the name for the life of me). But there were tombs there that had been there for over thousands of years. When Pope John Paul made his pilgrimage to Ireland, he traveled to this monastery
-We arrived in Galway around 3:30 and started exploring, its a very cute town with lots of pedestrian walks, pubs, and shops. We spend the night pub hopping with the others in the group. We ended up at a pub called "Munroes" where we got to pour our own pints- it was very cool!
-In the morning we travelled to "Burren" a beautiful area outside of Galway that sits right on the Atlantic. When you think of Ireland and all the green, Burren is a perfect representation of that.
-We then headed to the Cliffs of Moher- the highlight of our trip. How beautiful! We hiked for around two hours and headed back to Dublin

It was a fantastic trip, next weekend we are traveling to Northern Ireland and to see the Giants Causeway!

Molly and Sam are here for the week, so excited!

  1. Hi. So jealous. I miss you so much. I have family still in Galway and it is where my great grandmother's side is from. Aren't the cliffs breathtaking? I really could have stayed there all day and just watched the water break on the rocks. Beautiful.

PS.. can I text you so you can read them when you get back? or will you get like charged? I'm not sure if you have your phone with you or not...
